A little Bulgarian, a trifle Galician...

...and perhaps a brief stop by wherever all those pastoral ballets with ranks of pirouetting peasants are supposed to take place...

I admit to being occasionally puzzled by things Australian (the people are so cheerful and so given to diminutivization of nouns, and all the animals can kill you) but I cannot possibly be as puzzled by The Wiggles as The Wiggles seem to be puzzled by Jews.

Where, exactly, do they think the song "Sholem Aleichem" is from, and who do they think sings it?  I watched this video approximately 25 times over the blog's  break last week, and I never stopped laughing. The kids didn't see what was so funny, but they liked the beat.

Another example of their puzzlement by world culture, their version of Brown Girl in the Ring (which Greg introduces as from the Caribbean) has one of the Caucasian dancers dressed in brown in the middle as the brown girl. Not laughable, but a bit...off.
